Friday Five

One
In uber-exciting news, my good friend Andrea Lynn Colt is self-publishing a book!

Andrea's novel TORCHED will be out on Monday, September 10th, and I couldn't be happier! When I first read TORCHED last year, I simply inhaled it in one sitting. I'm not kidding. I sat on my sofa and opened up the Word document, thinking I'd flip through a few chapters...and I didn't get up until I finished the whole thing! It was so good and so funny and so very awesome.

Congrats, Andrea! Also, be sure to check out the first chapter here

Two
In semi-political news...

I cannot wait until this election is over. No more ads! No more mud-slinging! No more half-truths and spin-doctors and Facebook-fighting! Urghhh, Facebook. I'm just going to hide in this box until November.

Three
In reading news, I'm heading out to visit Justin in a few days (he's in Indianapolis for business) and I already have this puppy loading on my Kindle for my flight.

The premise? The novel follows a character known only as "A" who wakes up every day in a different person's body. I read a few sample pages on Amazon and I'm already hooked!

Four
Hmm, I'm drawing a blank on what else to blog about.

How about a picture of some delicious tomatoes that I saw at the farmer's market? That's what you guys really want, huh? Tomato porn? Well, here you go!

Lastly, in Labor Day news, what are your plans? As for me, I'd love to find a quaint bench like this one and read and nap and cloud-watch for hours. No political ads allowed!
