Wedding Bells in DC!

Ah, weddings! I love weddings. I mean, what's not to like? The happy couple, delicious food, good company, and (ahem) an overflowing bar. Shirley Temples for everyone! :)

On Saturday, my cousin Amy got hitched to her fiance Ari at the historic Hay Adams hotel in Washington, D.C., which is located across the street from the White House! I don't know if I mentioned it on the blog before, but Amy asked me to coordinate her wedding back in January and so we've spent the last six months in the throes of planning, from scouting out locations to hiring vendors to picking out invitations and to everything else in between. Whew, it has been quite the whirlwind!

Admittedly, I was a bit of a nervous wreck on Saturday since I've never been a wedding coordinator before and I wanted everything to be perfect for Amy and Ari... *Cue lightheadedness* But fortunately the hotel staff was a dream to work with and I think—I hope!—that the wedding went smoothly and the guests enjoyed themselves.

Here are a few photos from the weddin'! As a quick note, I didn't post any photos of Ari since he really wants to keep a low-key profile online. I promise he was there though! Also, I didn't add any pictures of myself since I also like my privacy...oh, who am I kidding? Let's be honest: I looked awful in all of the pics that I was in! Like, seriously. Hair blowing everywhere, shiny face, puffy cheeks. I'll spare you the gory details!

How about you? How was your weekend? Attended any weddings lately?
