I think these candidates would try to get a bill passed to provide health insurance to those who are uninsured, but I don't know if the bill will ever make it in Congress.

I'll keep my fingers crossed though! It still amazes me that countries like Cuba are able to provide medical care for all of their citizens while American is unable to.

Lex, you still have to pay $5000 for the baby's birth even though you have health insurance? EGADS! Indeed, Justin and I have been wondering if we should plan to have our first child right before he leaves the Army in 2010. The military usually sucks, but they do pay for every medical bill...Caroline Tung Richmondhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10668185436035686911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21099449.post-88504692160289577142007-12-03T02:50:00.000-05:002007-12-03T02:50:00.000-05:00I think watching Sicko has forever changed my poli...I think watching Sicko has forever changed my political views. It was so well done- educational without being propogandist. I can't imagine how it would change our country if moms could actually stay home with their babies after they were born. Do you think it can ever happen in our country?Jamihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13316474880093459900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21099449.post-64257980101197707822007-11-27T14:57:00.000-05:002007-11-27T14:57:00.000-05:00Sorry...this has nothing to do with the blog...I j...Sorry...this has nothing to do with the blog...I just wanted to tell you that I just sent you an email but I'm not sure if I have your updated email and I want to visit you over Christmas break when I'm home in SC.

that's all :)

(and I want you to meet Monte)BlueAdagiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15444074730481795399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21099449.post-55616957460513809152007-11-26T19:53:00.000-05:002007-11-26T19:53:00.000-05:00We just watched Sicko last weekend and it blew my ...We just watched Sicko last weekend and it blew my mind. Also. I want to live in France or Norway. I want to have a baby for free and get six months paid leave and have someone come do my baby's laundry. We have full health insurance and we will probably pay something like five grand for this baby (if its not a c section), which doesn't include the 3,600 dollars a year we pay in premiums. Guess who's vetoed it three years in a row? That's right. I'm totally with you on the universal health care thing, because knowing me, I'm too lazy to ever get health insurance unless I'm forced to have it. I'd rather pay slightly higher taxes and have health care if I need it than shell out $100 a month and feel like I'm playing the lottery.Alyson Turleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15373872381458807944noreply@blogger.com
